Our education system is so broken that most of the children that are supposed to be our future leaders are growing up with a lack of knowledge at an embarrassing rate.
Even the supposedly educated can learn better if they take the time to read. Learning is an active experience, not a passive one. In the best of cases, the person who learns best is the one who learns the most. I think that’s the case here.
If you’re a teacher, you’re supposed to be teaching. But in the real world, learning is a very passive process. You read, you learn, you apply what you have learned, you repeat. I think this is very much like what happens when you read, watch, then watch again. It’s the same with learning.
