A lot of people have been asking for a source code dump of the game, and I’m not sure that was possible as of yet, but I’m still going to try and get it. As of now, only the game’s multiplayer mode is available as open-source, but I certainly hope that I am wrong about that.
I am not sure if the school system and skate park are entirely open-source. The game engine itself is a proprietary piece of code, so the game will never be open-sourced. The school system is open-sourced, and some of the classes, but the game itself is not so open. I hope someone will step up and step out of the shadows and make it open source.
It’s hard to be a little bit obsessed with a game’s game mechanics. I have a little thing for the kids on the playground that I’ve never had to do. Maybe it’s their favorite game of the week, or maybe it’s the way they’re reacting to each other. I don’t think it’s the way they’ve reacted to me.
