I don’t know about you, but I like to keep up with what’s going on in the world and my kids. I’ve been very vocal about wanting them to have a good education. I think it’s important to have a good education as it helps them develop into adults who have the skills and knowledge to be successful in the world.
I like to educate my kids about what is going on in the world, but I don’t think I need to be doing that all the time. I’m a pretty regular guy and I dont think I need to be out there on the street fighting for the sake of it. My wife is the same way, and that is why our life is so interesting to watch. We live in a pretty ordinary town so we don’t need to be out there fighting.

You just need to be aware of who the kids around you are and what they’re doing, and to do your best to protect them. You dont have to be an active participant in the school system; just a good citizen who knows what they’re doing.

So when someone is being denied their right to the education they are entitled to, then it’s time to demand their right to the education you want them to have. That’s the only way to truly have a “good” education system. Even if you don’t want to be part of this movement, you can always start one of your own.

AERA was founded in 2007 and its mission is to provide a platform for educators, students, and parents in Washington to support the creation of a new, higher-quality education system to be adopted by our state’s three-year-old children.
