Before we can truly understand who we are as learners and teachers, we first need to know what we are not and what we are. In other words, when we begin to learn to know ourselves, we must become willing to face our limitations and realize that we will be learning to overcome the “self” with its own set of limitations.

I’ve always felt that this is one of the most important things you can do with your child. This is really, really important because it helps them to realize that they are not in the end the same as they were in the beginning. They are learning to be more than they were a week ago, and are learning to become more than they were a year ago.

I am the type of person who will organize my entire home (including closets) based on what I need for vacation. Making sure that all vital supplies are in one place, even if it means putting them into a carry-on and checking out early from work so as not to miss any flights!
