Georgia is making it possible for students to receive the best education available. The state is giving its teachers the tools to teach better so students can continue to achieve their full potential. Georgia’s partnership for excellence in education has been awarded more than $5,000,000 in grant funding to support education reform. That includes support for teacher training, teacher professional development, and a new teacher contract.

Georgia has a problem. While it is one of the most progressive states in the country, the problem is that Georgia has one of the lowest teacher retention numbers. Over a quarter of teachers leave their jobs every year. The problem is that Georgia is one of the largest teaching markets in the United States and still only has one of the highest teacher retention numbers. This is a problem that the state intends to address by creating a teacher-training program that will train, mentor, and retain teachers.

Georgia is already one of the largest states in terms of teacher retention, so it doesn’t make much sense to expect that it could be the state that would be the worst in the nation in general. In fact, the state’s retention data was taken from a sample of just over 10,000 teachers. That’s a very small sample, but if it was taken from the entire state, Georgia would be in the top ten worst states in the country.

The state of Georgia has a lot of problems, but when the state has a large teacher-retention rate, it means something. Georgia ranks #1 on the list of states with the lowest teacher retention rate in the country. So if we compare the retention rates for teachers trained in Georgia to the retention rates for other states, Georgia is actually doing better than the rest of the country.

Georgia has been working on this for years, and has developed the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education which is an effort to improve teacher retention. In Georgia we believe that teachers who are actively engaged in the classroom are more likely to become engaged students.

In addition to the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education, Georgia also has a Teacher Excellence Program which is designed to increase the number of teachers who stay with a school after it has implemented a new program.
