Etsy is a great resource for finding bands and musicians. However, the website is also full of stuff that is of questionable quality. For example, there are tons of bands that say they are “made in China.” That really doesn’t mean much when you think about it. To be fair, Etsy has a ton of sellers who are not really sellers but rather just people who are selling the same thing over and over again. The problem is that there are some sellers on Etsy that really cant be trusted because they are selling other un-sellable things they know will sell.
The problem is that some sellers are trying to make a bunch of money from making a bunch of other un-sellable things they know will sell. But a good rule of thumb is that when you see someone selling something you don’t like, ask them to stop and then just look at their shop and see if they still have some of the other stuff they were selling.
This is why you need to find a way to be a little more upfront in your communications and sales with your eBay customers. Just because they have your products listed on their site doesn’t mean they necessarily have your best interests in mind when they are buying. Even if you make most of your sales on eBay, you should still pay a bit more attention to your customers’ needs and desires when they are shopping in your store.
The one thing all of the “wedding bands” on Etsy were missing was a ring. Well, you could replace it with a hair piece or a flower, but if you’re going to make your customers want to purchase a wedding band from you (and get a little extra money in the bargain), you should at least include a ring.
The fact that Etsy has so many couples who just don’t care about the ring is definitely something that Etsy needs to address. I’ve seen lots of wedding bands on Etsy that I thought were great, but at the same time I was really happy that they were all in the same price range. The wedding bands that I saw were all over $100. That’s pretty steep. Etsy is not the only place that sells wedding bands.
It’s pretty cool that Etsy has started to take more steps to help the wedding industry. They have already started offering gift cards for wedding ceremonies as well as the bands. Etsy is even looking to take a more active role in the online wedding business, which is great. The more wedding bands sold through Etsy, the more money that the couple ends up with.
Etsy is a great place for weddings. Its a great place for couples who want to get married, so it’s a great place for them.
