The best thing about school districts is that they want you to get a reimbursement form to fill out before you start paying. They don’t care if you have an outstanding bill before school starts, so you don’t have to worry about forgetting it since it’s not their fault.
Thats exactly what I was doing, and I can’t tell you how much I hate it. I am currently on the wrong side of the law because I paid for my student loans and had no idea what they were for. But I have to pay it now, can’t say I’m sorry, and I’m not going to give up my student loan money.
But you cant make this all go away by paying for a form and just not filling it out. The government wants your money, and they will force you to provide them with proof of attendance. That is the only way they can prove that they had you in class. You also cannot use your own money to pay for your tuition, and they will tell you that they will take your money if you dont.
For the last couple of years I’ve been paying more in annual fees for my online class. So I figure that is why I’m making this form. A couple months ago I got a letter from the college saying that I had to pay my regular fee. And they said that they can’t take it from me. And I said that I was on the hook for the school’s fees. Well, now I have to pay it all back.

Also, don’t get too attached to your classes though. Sometimes they’re really not worth it. I once spent 3.5 hours of my life studying at a college with no financial aid. It was pretty awful.
This is a good reminder that you should always save for your educational expenses. If you need to do it, you should do it. While you can save as much as you can, you should also plan on doing it.
