Some of you may be familiar with the notion of “early childhood education” because of programs like Head Start, Head Start NY, or other similar, government initiatives aimed at helping children who are in foster homes or in homes where parents are separated. I am currently in my early childhood education in Hawaii.
Although Hawaii is a relatively small state, it is an educational paradise. We have a rich and varied public school system that spans over 500,000 students, including over 800,000 preschoolers and 1,500 school-age children. Hawaii is also home to three public universities—all of which are ranked among the top four in the nation and are known for their high quality.
