DALE CHIHULY. I am a huge fan of his work. He’s the one who created the piece that we featured in the gallery.
I have been following his work since the 90s and I love it. This particular piece is called ‘The Artist of the Day’ and it is a collage of his images of the day. It is one of the most iconic pieces I have ever seen and I am absolutely obsessed with it.
Dale Chihuly works so many different styles and his work is one of my favourite things on the planet. His art is so diverse and beautiful and he has so many different mediums he works with in his work. He is often referred to as the “father of the modern pop art movement,” but I think he actually started out as a painter and sculptor and then transitioned to sculpture. This particular piece was created in 2009, and it is called The Artist of the Day.
I can’t believe this is a piece of art from the artist himself. It is so huge and I am so obsessed with it. And I’m hoping you are too.
Dale Chihuly is a very prolific and talented artist. I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us in future artworks. If he hasn’t already, I’m sure he will in the near future.
This piece is based on a photo taken by Chihuly of himself on the beach in Monterey, California in 2008. It is a view of the artist’s studio and a collection of the artist’s watercolors and other works. The pieces are very large, measuring more than 6 foot tall. The artist himself does not speak about what these paintings are for, but I imagine he is working on a new body of work.
For now we know it’s more about his work on the beach than anything else, but who knows? A new body of work? More of himself? Not sure.
In his youth, Chihuly was one of the best students at the Art Institute of Chicago. He was a member of the legendary group the New York School of painters. He was also part of the group that created the now famous “Clouds” series of paintings. During his time at the school, he was known for his surrealist style and was one of the first artists to use the term “landscape painting.
It’s likely that Chihuly’s artistic career was more about the beach than anything else. It’s not the sort of thing that is going to make a lot of art history, but it’s something that shows his talent for building worlds out of pretty shapes.
